Nestled in the peaceful village of Manjyadgaon, near Kanatal and Mussoorie, Pahadi Update
Home Stay is a warm and welcoming pahadi home owned by Sarita Pundir and Kunwar Singh.
This husband-wife duo started their homestay in 2024, seeing the growing demand for good,
family-friendly stays in the area.
They didn’t want to leave their village and saw this as a chance to not only improve their
livelihood but also create a space where visitors could get a real taste of village life, pahadi
culture, and local food. Inspired by sessions with Himmotthan and after seeing how other
homestays were doing well, they decided to open their own.
Rooms & Facilities
Pahadi Update Home Stay has 2 clean and cozy rooms, perfect for solo travelers, couples, or
small families looking for a calm weekend in the hills.
Facilities include:
● Double bed with fresh bedding
● Attached washroom with geyser
● Room heater for chilly nights
● Electric kettle
● Yoga mat for your morning stretches
● Working station for those carrying their laptop
Room charges start from ₹1,600 to ₹2,500 per day, including breakfast and dinner.
Pure Home-Cooked Meals
Here, food is simple, fresh, and full of pahadi flavours. Everything served at the homestay is
home-cooked by Sarita herself, using organic vegetables grown in their own kitchen garden.
Guests can enjoy traditional Uttarakhandi thalis, local chutneys, and warm cups of tea made
with mountain herbs. Meals are pure, organic, and prepared with care.
