Hill Side Home Stay, Silkoti
A quiet and welcoming homestay run by a warm husband-wife duo, Hill Side Home Stay is
nestled in the peaceful village of Silkoti, near Kanatal and Mussoorie. This simple yet cozy stay
is hosted by Makani Devi and Abbal Singh Pundir, a couple rooted in village life and pahadi
hospitality.
Seeing the growing number of tourists visiting this belt for weekend breaks, treks, and peaceful
holidays, the couple decided to open their home for guests in 2023. The idea was encouraged
by a discussion during a community forum by Himmotthan, which inspired Abbal Singh — a
local electrician and plumber — to start something of his own. Watching nearby hotels and
homestays also gave them the push to create a warm, personal space for guests looking for
clean, calm, and genuine pahadi stays.
Makani Devi, a farmer and homemaker, looks after the kitchen and farm, ensuring every guest
gets fresh, organic food cooked with love.
