Nandi Kund Homestay, Gondar Village
A cultural stop with mountaineer hosts
Located in Gondar village, at a perfect midway point of the Madhyamaheshwar trek, Nandi Kund
Homestay is run by the husband-and-wife team Meera Devi and Vijay Singh. They chose to
remain in their native village, welcoming travelers rather than moving to the city. With tourists
passing by, they saw a need for clean, calm, culturally rich lodging—so they turned two rooms in
their home into a warm homestay in 2023.
Vijay brings a lifetime of mountain knowledge—he’s been trekking since 2007 and has led
numerous challenging Himalayan expeditions. Staying here means you’re hosted by someone
who truly knows these mountains.
