Negi Homestay, Raunlekh

A Peaceful Village Stay by Anita Devi & Kamlendra Singh
Tucked away in the serene Himalayan village of Raunlekh, on the route to the sacred
Madhmaheshwar Temple, Negi Homestay offers a simple, homely, and heartwarming stay for
travelers. This homestay is managed by a caring husband-wife duo, Anita Devi and Kamlendra
Singh, who decided to open their doors to guests when a local NGO and Himotthan Society
encouraged villagers to start community-based tourism initiatives.
Back then, Kamlendra Singh, a former primary school teacher, ITI technician, and now the
proud village pradhan, realized how important it was to provide tourists with a clean, safe, and
affordable place to stay. With support from family, friends, and their community, Anita and
Kamlendra turned a few extra rooms into a welcoming homestay for travelers. What began with
just three rooms has now grown to a beautiful homestay with 6+ comfortable rooms — all while
keeping that authentic village charm alive.
