Silkoti village is a lovely little place run by a friendly husband-wife duo — Vimala Devi and
Upendra Singh. Surrounded by hills, orchards, and fresh mountain air, this homestay is perfect
for families and small groups wanting to slow down and enjoy the simplicity of village life.
The idea of starting this homestay came when Upendra Singh, a skilled local tailor, attended a
meeting organized by Himmotthan and realised the growing demand for clean, homely stays in
this region. Seeing nearby hotels and homestays welcoming guests gave them confidence to
open their doors to travelers too. The couple began Sparrow Home Stay in 2023 and have since
been welcoming guests with warmth and good food.

you need for a relaxing stay..

Food here is a treat for anyone who loves home-style meals. Vimala Devi, a passionate home
cook and farmer, prepares delicious pahadi dishes using organic vegetables straight from their
farm. The food is simple, fresh, and rich in mountain flavors. Guests can enjoy local thalis,
seasonal chutneys, lentils, and traditional dishes unique to Uttarakhand.
